How to Plan Tables and Chairs for a Backyard Party
Start with who needs a seat at the same time, then plan tables around the way you will serve food and use the space. A seated meal needs a different layout from a casual drop-in celebration.
Count seats before tables
Count adults and children separately. Include a seat for each guest who needs one and plan accessible places in the layout. For a seated meal, a six-foot rectangular table is often a starting point for six to eight people, depending on chair width, end seating and place settings. Measure the actual layout before committing.
Keep service tables separate
Food, gifts, drinks and activities take usable table space. Our Backyard Party for 25 proposes 25 chairs and five six-foot tables, with one table reserved as a service area. Adjust the arrangement to your yard and seating needs.
Create a kids area
The Kids Birthday Seating Package for 10 uses child-sized chairs and two kids tables. Check dimensions against the ages attending and leave space for adults to supervise activities.
Check transport and setup time
Measure the vehicle cargo area before pickup, especially for long tables that do not fold in half. Allow time to load, transport, set up and return the equipment. Rentals are self-service with pickup in West Hills; delivery and setup are not included.
Confirm the full quantity for your date
A suggested package does not reserve inventory. Confirm the quantities and dates before finalizing your plan. For larger guest counts, request an availability check rather than assuming a listed package can simply be doubled.
